Governors Island - Nolan Park - House 14
In partnership with Pratt Institute's School of Architecture, Graduate Architecture and Urban Design, and the Center for Climate Adaptation, the Architectural Association Visiting School New York Programme will host a symposium on urban regeneration and development on Governors Island in New York City. In laying out a framework of the issues related to the island, we will explore its unique history and examine the recent surge of interest in the site with the winning team of the NY Climate Exchange. We will consider the unique opportunities for growth and discuss the balance of interests needed for successful preservation and development of the island brought by this important project.
